Tiger died a few minutes after my last post

As of early this morning Tiger was very ill and couldn't even stand up. I flushed her crop and a couple hours later she was doing great, she was bright and alert, she was standing up on her own and everything. a few minutes ago I checked on her and she appears to be dying.

Here's a pic of Tiger from yesterday. Today she's not doing very well, I'm hoping I'll be able to save her, I can't stand the thought of losing this little one :(

I now have 5 eggs with my teils (Shi-Shi and Sing-Sing), however I'm sure they won't all be fertile. Still no eggs from the budgies or my other pair of teils yet, but Lola and Lander (teils) are starting to show breeding behavior, so soon I think. Still no luck finding a pair IRN's or conure's to breed, but I'll keep looking and saving.

Tiger is finally starting to do really well, she's growing and getting feathers, she bright and alert and sooo cute, whenever she hears me she jumps up and runs to the front of the brooder (even though she's still clumsy) and chirps at me.

I'm still having problems with the video camera I bought, I can't upload to youtube without distortion of the video. I'm pretty postive I'm going to send it back. The still feature on the camera is totally useless, the shutter speed is way too slow and you can't change it. I am waiting to hear back from the company about it. Instead of looking for a video camera that takes stills I think its best to get a digital camera that takes video, so I'm getting a 16MP Fujifilm camera that takes video, it should also record sound and hopefully that will work out better. I want to take great stills and video's of my fabies.

Tiger is finally getting some feathers, I'm anxious to see if she's a pearl like I've always thought she is. I have another egg, so that makes 4. The budgies, Blueberry and Taffy seem really excited about the nest box, they keep checking it out. They aren't afraid of it like Azul and Ava. With any luck I'll have budgie eggs soon. Hope is wanting a female of his own so I'm going to have to find him a cute little female :)

On a side note I finally got the digital camcorder I ordered, but I'm not sure if I like it yet, I may send it back, it doesn't seem to work as well as I hoped, maybe thats why I didn't have to pay that much for it.

Tiger is now 27 grams.  It looks like were holding at three teil eggs.
Pepper has now added Hi honey to her vocab, she so funny :)

Tiger is now 23 grams, yay!!! and I have another egg :)

Currently I am handfeeding 5 teil chicks from three clutches. The oldest were hatched on Feb 1st (Eclipse) and feb 6th (Twilight) 2012. My middle clutch was hatched on Mar 10 (Toki) and Mar 14 (Little Bit) and my last clutch on Apr 21, 2012  one chick named Tiger. Tiger has been very weak and fragile. She is now doing very well, though she is still not growing very quickly, she still doesn't have any feathers coming in. I also have a pair of teils laying a clutch of eggs at the moment, so far one egg. I also have a nest box one another set of teils and am adding a box to one pair of budgies, so I will hopefully be seeing more eggs soon.

Welcome to my new blog. I'll be posting updates on my chicks and clutch's here. Stay tuned :)
